Nails found in vehicle tyres

Good afternoon,

South Wales Police are still receiving reports from local residents regarding nails been found in their vehicles tyres, especially on HEOL Y COED and HEOL Y BRYN.

Today, I  have spoken to Cardiff Councils highways department and a request has been made for a road cleanse, which will hopefully prevent any further issues. 

There is no evidence of any person(s) doing this act, as nothing as been captured on CCTV or seen by members of the public. It could simply be due to nails falling of scrap vans/work vans.

I will continue to monitor, however if anyone receives nails in their vehicle tyres, please report to 101.
